About the paper
A local paper for a city that's grown up
The Penrith Post is an independent newspaper covering the Penrith local government area and the wider Nepean region. We publish daily online and on Thursdays in print, available free at more than 180 outlets from Cranebrook to Mulgoa.
Penrith is now larger by population than Hobart. It has its own airport under construction, a new metro line under commissioning, a four-time premiership-winning NRL club and a council managing one of the fastest-growing capital programmes in the state. A city of this size deserves a serious local paper, and that is what we set out to be.
Our newsroom covers council, courts, sport, business, planning and community life. We don't chase national politics or wire-service rewrites. If it isn't local, you probably won't read it here.
